ACTS Institute of New Zealand

Assisting people back into employment for 30 years

Acts Institute of New Zealand was founded by Ken and Wendy Fraser in 1983 as a Charitable Trust. After a successful business career, Ken was confronted with his own experience of sudden unemployment.
His response was ACTS Institute, an organisation that has now been working with the unemployed for 30 years. Over that time as society has changed, so has the nature of courses on offer. But while change has been embraced, consistency in key areas has been maintained therefore ACTS continues to provide a way for people to find employment in the Hutt Valley.

Mission & Values

Firstly the aim of ACTS Institute has always been to instill a sense of unconditional acceptance and self worth in those struggling to find direction in life. Support, encouragement and practical training towards employment have provided that purpose and direction.

Secondly, the direction and commitment of a professional, people focused team of tutors and support staff remain a strength of ACTS Institute. And finally, opportunities for further training or employment have continued to come to numerous students over the years. Real people, real lives, real stories of success
